Designing a Fun and Functional Basement Kitchen ADU

At EagleRidge Roofing and Construction, we’re excited to kick off a kitchen installation in the basement of a home in Orem, Utah. This project is part of converting the lower level into an internal Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) for the Draper family.

The kitchen design includes a streamlined layout optimized for daily use, featuring upper and lower cabinetry, appliance integration, and a functional work triangle. The planning process involved in-depth layout mapping and 3D modeling to ensure efficient space utilization, especially in a basement setting where ceiling height and lighting present unique challenges.

Our team is committed to transforming this underused space into a self-sufficient unit that meets both building code requirements and the practical needs of a separate living area. Once completed, this ADU will be a prime example of smart design, offering privacy, convenience, and long-term rental potential.
