Ogden, UT
This low-slope roof in Ogden had a recurring problem: standing water collecting on the membrane after every storm.
Ponding water may seem minor at first, but over time it can cause damage to the membrane, degrade insulation, and even compromise the structural integrity of the roof deck.
To solve the issue, our crew opened the existing TPO roof membrane and installed a taper system—a precision-angled solution that redirects water toward proper drainage. This system ensures water no longer pools in low spots and helps protect the roof for the long haul.
Once the taper system was in place, we applied targeted patching to any compromised areas. Then we finished with a full application of Gaco S4200 silicone roof coating, a high-performance sealant designed to lock out moisture, reflect heat, and provide long-term durability in Utah’s climate.
This multi-step process didn’t just fix the immediate issue, it gave the entire low-slope deck a second life.
