Another specialized project completed by the EagleRidge Roofing & Construction team, this time along Wall Avenue in Ogden, Utah, for a commercial restaurant facility.
This job focused on sealing and protecting rooftop HVAC ductwork, where uncoated seams were allowing rainwater to leak into the duct system — with the potential to affect airflow and even indoor air quality inside the restaurant.
What We Did
After inspecting the system, we found multiple exposed seams along the rooftop air conditioning ductwork that were vulnerable to rain infiltration. These gaps were allowing water to seep into the ducting and, ultimately, into the restaurant space below — a serious risk for both equipment and operations.
To correct this, we:
- Repaired and sealed all duct seams using high-performance Gaco S4200 silicone roof coating
- Applied a uniform layer of coating for long-term waterproofing
- Restored integrity to the HVAC system to prevent future water leaks
- Enhanced UV reflectivity to reduce heat absorption on the metal surface
The Gaco S4200 not only provides a watertight seal, but also reflects the sun’s UV rays — helping reduce thermal load on the ducting and improving the overall efficiency of the A/C units.
